Behrouz Maghsoudlou was born in Kashan, Iran. He graduated from Melli University in Tehran with a master’s degree in architecture. He is a graphic artist and designer and has worked in this field since graduation.
Besides working as an architect, he has acted in a few films, notably as a school superintendent in Amir Naderi’s acclaimed 1985 film The Runner.
He has produced seven short films with Mr. Bahman Ghobadi. Among them are:
1- Life in Fog (1999), Winner of 15 International Awards.
2- A Soldier Called Amin (1997), Winner of First Prize, Rosario, Argentina; Winner of the Silver Prize, Denmark.
3- Like Mother (1996), Winner of First Prize, Melbourne, Australia.
The Other Side of the Broken Wall is his first experience as a Writer/Director.
